COVID Protocol for the India Open 2022, Syed Modi India International 2022 & Odisha Open 2022

Pre-arrival negative COVID-19 certificate (Mandatory)

Pre-Arrival Test: All players/team officials/All Technical officials/ Office Bearers/ must undergo for COVID-19 RT-PCR test dated within the 72 hours prior to arriving in India. This also includes players/team officials/All Technical officials/ Office Bearers/ living in India and players in the reserve list. This is a BWF requirement and it is mandatory for all participants and working personnel regardless of their vaccination status. Once submitting the negative RT-PCR test result and Complete vaccination certificate and the on-arrival RT- PCR report will allow the participants (Athletes, Team Officials, Entourage, Organising Committee, Work force and others) to receives their accreditations and will be allowed to enter the playing arena. One must be avoided Exposure during the championships.

During Travel- While on board the flight/ ship, required precautions such as wearing of masks, environmental hygiene, respiratory hygiene, hand hygiene etc. are to be observed by airline/ ship staff, crew, and all passengers.

*NOTE:
DEFINITION OF CLOSE CONTACT IN THE AIRPLANE: CLOSE CONTACTS IN FLIGHT ARE DEFINED AS THOSE SEATED IN THE SAME ROW AS THE SUSPECT AND INCLUDING THREE (03) ROWS IN FRONT AND THREE (03) ROWS BEHIND THE SUSPECT.

Insurance Coverage - Players and all members of the national delegation shall hold valid General and COVID-19 Insurance for damages of any nature caused to third parties. Such insurance shall cover bodily injury, including medical and hospitalization expenses incurred in the host country, as well as all expenses and costs associated to repatriating the injured party to its country of residence and/or costs associated if diagnosed COVID-19 positive or self-quarantine measures imposed if a person have to self-quarantine/ isolate because they are in direct contact as per BWF safety protocols.

General Guidelines
Always wash your hands frequently and thoroughly.

- Respiratory etiquette:

  • When coughing or sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with the inside of your elbow.
  • Use tissues to remove respiratory secretions and throw them away after use.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, as hands facilitate the transmission of corona viruses.

Mask is mandatory for everyone. Players while playing Match are allowed to remove the

mask. Breaching of Covid protocols Section 2.5.1. Special Table of Offences and Penalties Relating to breaches of COVID 19 Safety Protocols will applicable.

MANDATORY ANTIGEN TEST FOR ALL:

Yonex-Sunrise India Open 2022 – 12th January 2022
Syed Modi India International 2022 – 19th January 2022
Odisha Open 2022 – 26th January 2022.
Pre-Departure RT PCR tests will be available at the Venue Centres.

We request you to kindly inform players, team officials, entourages, etc on the above guidelines to be adhere strictly before travelling for these tournaments.
